on my wife's Mini CooperS, and was told, after I destroyed one + my rim trying to drive a few miles on the shoulder at less than 5mph, that they are only supposed to allow you to pull off the roadway after they go flat, so you can call a tow truck. You can do that with a regular tire that doesn't cost $190. If you think that you can run over a board full of nails (like on the commercials), and continue on your way, albeit under 50mph, with no ill effects, you are being fooled. Run flats = buyer beware. Noisy, hard compound, only good running flat for a few yards, not miles. IMO
